History of CAG at a glance

1991

A passionate electrical engineer, Marek Šprincl, founds an electrical repair shop in Karlovy Vary. He begins with the repairs of small appliances and electric motors.

1996

The company focuses on its own design of customized electric motors

1998

Expanding the capacity by the repairs of motors of greater power ranges, up to 100kW

2000

Expanding the capacity by the repairs of motors up to 500 kW

2002

The company relocates to Český Brod, where it purchases a new manufacturing plant.

2004

Commencement of business activities with new electric motors

2005

Opening the company’s own design center for electromagnetic calculations

2007

Company transformation into a legal form under the business name of CAG Electric Machinery s.r.o.

2008

The development center is expanded by mechanical calculations.

2009

A new motor series, wholly designed by CAG, is introduced to the market.

2010

Expansion to international markets

2011

Start of cooperation with universities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Commencement of development of the company’s own HV converter.

2013

Completion of the calculations of the first high-voltage motor and the manufacture of a test sample. The first actual high-voltage converter is created and the service life tests are commenced.

2015

Completion of the operating tests of the high-voltage converter. The tests have shown flawlessness of the calculations, and serial production thus commences.

2016

Together with the Technical University of Košice, the development of an innovative type of electric motor known as Synchronous reluctance motor is commenced.

2017

We continue designing and testing Reluctance motors. The operating tests verify the correctness of our designs.

2018

Start of development of the company’s own software for converters intended for the Reluctance motors.
